Twitch Bits to Dollars: Pricing, Converter, and Payout Guide

When you Cheer with Bits, animated Cheermotes pop up right in chat. Bigger Cheer? Bigger, wilder animation. That's the whole point of twitch cheered bits animation — it's a visual flex that scales with how much you're throwing down.

Twitch ships a set of default Cheermotes and they get progressively crazier at 1 , 100 , 1,000 , 5,000 , and 10,000 Bits. But here's the cool part — if a channel has Affiliate or Partner status, they can upload custom Cheermotes that replace the defaults entirely, so dropping 10k Bits in one channel looks nothing like dropping 10k in another.

Example Cheermote animation. Actual effects vary by channel and tier.

Default Cheermote Animation Tiers

Custom Cheermotes are all over the place, but the defaults follow a pretty predictable ladder:

  • 1-99 Bits: Small animated gem. Nothing fancy.
  • 100-999 Bits: Noticeably bigger — think the gem shattering apart mid-chat.
  • 1,000-4,999 Bits: Now we're talking. You might see a "Kappa" face built out of gems, or something equally ridiculous.
  • 5,000-9,999 Bits: These are loud — big animations that eat up real estate in the chat window, hard to miss.
  • 10,000+ Bits: Top-tier, screen-filling madness. Evolving creatures, cascading effects, the works. Streamers lose their minds over these.

How to Preview Cheered Bits Animations

Want to see what the animations look like before you spend anything? Easy:

  1. Pull up any popular Partnered streamer's channel.
  2. Hit the "Bits" icon in the chat box.
  3. Tap through the Cheermote icons at each tier — 1, 100, 1,000 — and you'll get a preview of that channel's animations without spending a single Bit.
  4. Or just watch VODs and clips from big hype moments. Someone always drops a massive Cheer during those.
